v1.6.1 Pending Review

Cleaner toolbar & zero ad tracking

New
  • Clean Browser Toolbar: A compact extension name ("Since You Watched Last") for toolbars, puzzle menus, and context menus, paired with full store discoverability.
Fixed
  • Zero Ad Tracking: Pre-roll, mid-roll, and sponsored Shorts video ads are completely blocked from history and timestamps across YouTube, Crunchyroll, and HTML5 video sites.
  • Ad Title Fallback Defense: Standalone "YouTube" page titles from in-stream ads are rejected and purged from history.
v1.6.0 Latest Release

A resume prompt you can trust

New
  • Start Over or Resume: Opening a video you've watched before asks "Pick up at 4:50" with two choices, like a video player. Picking a spot on the timeline counts as a choice too.
  • Uninstall Feedback: After removing the extension, an optional short form asks what didn't work. Only the version number is filled in.
Improved
  • Redesigned Resume Prompt: The prompt and the "Resumed" note on video pages match the rest of the extension. × just closes the prompt and keeps your spot.
  • Easier-to-Read Times: 4:50 and 1:25:13 instead of 00:04:50. CSV exports keep the full format.
Fixed
  • Saved Spot Kept When You Miss the Prompt: If the prompt goes away unanswered, your spot stays put instead of being replaced a few seconds later.
  • Next Video Starts Fresh: Opening another video in the same tab no longer gives it the previous video's spot and title.
  • Resumes After Ads: Resuming during a YouTube ad waits for the ad to end, then jumps to your spot.
  • "Resumed" Only When It Worked: The note appears once the video is really at your spot, and says so if a site won't let it jump.
  • Resume Confirmation on YouTube: Resuming from the popup or dashboard shows "Resumed at …" and no longer also asks "Resume watching?".
  • "New" Dot on Settings: The dot no longer comes back after you've opened Settings.
v1.5.2

A cleaner look & a safer import

New
  • Welcome Page: Right after installing, a short page shows how it works, how to pin it to your toolbar, and which sites it works on.
Improved
  • New Icon: The rewind mark on a rounded square, the same logo as this website, sharper at every size.
  • Cleaner, More Consistent Look: Buttons, switches, badges and cards share one squared-off style, and emoji icons are replaced by simple line icons.
  • Header Stays in View: The dashboard header and the table's column headings stay pinned while you scroll your library.
Fixed
  • Safer CSV Import: Importing starts on "Merge", and replacing your history needs you to type "replace". Before, Cancel on the import prompt replaced your whole history.
  • Your Keyboard Shortcut: The popup and settings show the shortcut you set in Chrome, and the old one stops working once you change it.
  • Resume Prompts Switch: Turning off on-page resume prompts in the popup now actually turns them off.
  • YouTube Videos Labelled "Show": Videos restored from a backup are labelled correctly, and backups keep each video's type.
  • Same "Finished" Everywhere: Every view agrees on which videos are finished, at 90%.
  • Dashboard Stays Up to Date: An open dashboard refreshes as videos save progress.
  • Honest "Saved by Rewinding": Counted from the resumes you actually made.
  • Smaller Fixes: Live popup status during ads, matching "Left at" times, cleaner titles and platform names, visible switches in the light theme, and no tracking prompts on pages without a video.
v1.5.0

Works with sites in any language & a cleaner Continue Watching

New
  • Streaming Sites in Any Language: Season and episode numbers, Shorts titles and ad detection work when Netflix, YouTube or Spotify are shown in Spanish, German, Hindi, Japanese and more.
  • Localized Store Listing: Available in Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese and Hindi.
Improved
  • Cleaner Continue Watching: Only videos with something to resume appear, so quick clips and Shorts don't crowd out what you were really watching.
Fixed
  • Exact Resume Times: The resume button always shows exactly where playback will land.
  • Netflix Episodes: Episode numbers are no longer dropped from "S1:E3" labels.
v1.4.0

You choose which sites to track

New
  • Per-Site Tracking Status: The popup shows whether the page you're on is being tracked, with a one-click fix when it isn't.
  • Track Any Site in One Click: Add any video site with a single "Track this site" button. Nothing outside your chosen sites is ever accessed.
  • Version at a Glance: See which version you're running right in the popup and dashboard.
Improved
  • Far Fewer Permissions: The extension now only has access to built-in streaming sites, instead of every website you visit.
  • Hotstar & JioHotstar by Default: Tracked out of the box, no setup needed.
v1.3.1

Accurate resume points & YouTube Shorts fixes

Fixed
  • Accurate Auto-Rewind: Resuming now rewinds by exactly your chosen buffer on every site. Previously Netflix and other sites could rewind twice as far.
  • True Exact-Spot Resume: "Off (0s)" now resumes at the precise pause point from the popup, dashboard and QR transfer alike.
  • Cleaner Shorts History: YouTube Shorts no longer show another video's title, comment headers, or a generic "YouTube" name.
  • No Ads in History: Video ads and sponsored Shorts are never tracked or saved.
v1.3.0

YouTube Shorts & Reels duration filter + feature discovery nudges

New
  • Short-Form Video Duration Filter: Option to filter out quick clips and short reels (under 2 or 5 minutes) from cluttering your watch history.
  • Feature Discovery Nudge: Subtle, transient notification dot and badge on Settings to easily highlight newly added capabilities without intrusive popups.
Improved
  • Zero-Lag Setting Dismissal: Nudge indicators clear synchronously upon opening Settings, persisting the seen state permanently.
  • Backwards-Compatible Default: Defaults to tracking all video lengths out-of-the-box so existing watch profiles experience zero disruption.
v1.2.0

Clean tab resumes, privacy shortcuts & playback timing polish

New
  • Dedicated Tab Resumes: Resuming from the dashboard now opens a dedicated new tab right at your saved position, eliminating playback conflicts with other open tabs.
  • Quick Access Settings Links: Added direct 1-click shortcuts to our zero-telemetry Privacy Policy and offline release notes inside the Settings menu.
Improved
  • Playback Seeking Polish: Refined auto-rewind buffer timing across YouTube, Netflix, and HTML5 players for smoother, more accurate scene context.
  • Tab Session Isolation: Protected playback sessions so video resumption never interferes with other media playing in background tabs.
v1.1.0

Popup overhaul, table inline controls & keyboard shortcuts

New
  • Quick Resume Shortcut: Global Alt+Shift+W keyboard shortcut to jump back into your most recently paused media instantly from any tab.
  • Inline Table Controls: Direct one-click resume buttons, per-item QR code transfer triggers, and inline removal directly from the library list.
  • Unified Data Dropdown: Consolidated CSV export, import (with merge or overwrite modes), and history wipe options into an accessible quick-action menu.
Improved
  • Popup Interface Redesign: Complete popup overhaul with dual-button dark/light mode toggle, status indicators, and streamlined options navigation.
  • Dynamic Rewind Configuration: Rewind duration setting (5s, 10s, 15s, 30s) now reacts synchronously across all floating resume prompts without requiring page reloads.
  • Design System Alignment: Enforced consistent 8px boxy radius geometry and elevated contrast ratios across all modal dialogues and cards.
Fixed
  • Fixed YouTube Shorts floating prompt suppression on rapid vertical scrolling and SPA tab switching.
  • Resolved rank badge contrast in Insights leaderboard for positions 4 and 5 in dark mode.
  • Guarded event listener bindings against unexpected DOM state transitions.
